TRIO VIDEO FAX CHECK – Summer/Fall 2006
Welcome back to Trio Video's "Fax Check." Our experienced production teams have been coast-to-coast coordinating multi-camera coverage for a multitude of events, including the Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago, worldwide broadcasts of MLB's World Series, as well as a full season of NFL Football for Fox Television…..all produced in High Definition. Here's a brief synopsis:
15 Weeks of Top Rated NFL on FOX
This fall, the NFL on FOX celebrates 12 years on the air and Trio Video is delighted to be a part of their production team. In the first year of a multiyear agreement, HD mobile unit Tango, along with Trio Video's new support unit Beta, is supplying over 13 High Definition cameras and equipment for the highly rated NFL on FOX broadcasts throughout the pro-football season. Beta, our full-size self-contained support trailer, was designed by Trio Video's technical team to provide electronic graphics, computer, and communication systems for large-scale events, as well as to serve as a primary standalone broadcast unit for more specialized multi-media projects. And pardon our hometown spirit, but… Go Bears!
Lollapalooza Chicago 2006, Immersed in the Digital Age
Nominated by Billboard Magazine for "Top Festival" award, Lollapalooza, produced by Capital Sports/Entertainment and Charles Attal Presents, expanded to a three-day show, and featured the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chicago locals Kanye West, Wilco, and Common. Festival-goers were able to download the schedule, band photos and audio clips to their iPods; create a digital wish list of the bands they wanted to see and then share it with friends via e-mail. Trio Video's HD mobile unit Tango, along with Third Wave Productions, delivered technical support using multi-camera, multi-stage video capture including graphics insertion for satellite transmission to AT&T Blueroom.com and MTV news.
It's a Wide, Wide Major League Baseball World ... Series
In what is warmheartedly called "America's Fall Classic," Trio Video's HD mobile unit Phoenix, along with high-tech support unit, technicians and crew, teamed up with MLB International to supply television facilities for the American League Championship Series and World Series international broadcasts. Trio's technical support team took up temporary residence at Oakland and St. Louis for over two weeks during the American League Championship Series; continuing through the World Series battle of the Detroit Tigers at the home of the St. Louis Cardinals. The events were broadcast to the Central/South American, European, and Far East television markets.
Credit Where Credit Is Due
Upon announcing BIA Digital Partners and Marquette Capital Partners' recent $10 million investment in Trio Video, we inadvertently overlooked a mention of the invaluable help provided by North American Funding Corporation (www.nafclease.com.) Special thanks go out to Kevin Becker and the entire staff at NAFC for a decade of assistance in administering our equipment finance needs.
That's it for now. Thanks for taking the time to let us check in and keep you in "The Loop." As always, we're here to assist you with any of your upcoming projects and only a phone call or email away.
