TRIO VIDEO FAX CHECK – Spring/Summer 2010

Welcome back to Trio Video's Fax Check. It's been one of the hottest North American summers on record and the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks and Men's US Hockey Silver medalists began heating the year up fast! Trio was on hand throughout the NHL regular season in Chicago, for the incredible Olympic hockey action in Vancouver, and well into the Blackhawks post-season journey to the Stanley Cup. In addition, we continued our long-standing tradition of providing HD facilities and tech support to most every major American and Canadian music/comedy festival. While along the way, we had the added pleasure of working with Tyler Perry in Atlanta and the Trans Siberian Orchestra in Dallas. And, as if that wasn't enough, we're also very proud to be announcing the upcoming debut of Tempo, Trio's newest HD mobile unit coming this fall! Here are all the details:

Almost a Miracle on Ice
For the entire month of February, Trio was thrilled to be on site with HD mobile unit Rhythm and Trio engineers for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Rhythm captured all the amazing images of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as board-to-board coverage of the entire Men's Hockey competition, including Canada’s home-nation gold medal victory over the United States. According to the Toronto Sun, "The Feb. 28 gold medal hockey final and closing ceremonies were the two most-watched events in Canadian TV history". Hollywood in Atlanta
Also in February, HD mobile unit Tango and company were on site at the 30-acre Atlanta studio complex of writer, actor, and director, Tyler Perry, as TPS staffers produced The Tyler Perry Show. In addition to his enormous popularity at the movie box office, the LA Times calls Tyler Perry, "a self contained hit machine" credited with one of the highest rated TV shows on TBS. The Tyler Perry Show is a continuing series of information talk shows aimed at the hospitality and specialty television markets. Take a look at www.tylerperry.com for more information.

Coachella - A Triple Play
For the 4th consecutive year and with this year's unprecedented 3 channels of live entertainment fed to websites Facebook and MySpace, Tango/Beta and staff were on site to provide all the video/tech support to the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. This year's festival, headlined by Jay-Z, Muse and the Gorillaz – with webcast content produced by AEG Goldenvoice and Springboard Productions - featured an exclusive partnership with Wrigley's 5React Gum, which allowed fans to experience an online customized digital world including 3D user generated content, live high definition streaming and personalized artist set lists. Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks – Stanley Cup Champions!
"By whatever method of measurement you want to use...2009-10 will be a season to remember," said NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman… and we agree. Trio Video was again on hand, supplying HD trucks and tech support to Comcast SportsNet Chicago and WGN-TV; during the entire regular season of NHL Chicago home team broadcasts, as well as the 1st and 2nd rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. For a third consecutive season, all 82 upcoming Chicago Blackhawks games will be televised in HD on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and WGN-TV, the official television broadcasting partners of the Blackhawks. Beethoven Rocks in Dallas
Trans Siberian Orchestra has sold more than seven million copies of its rock operas and Tango and crew were very happy to be on-location at the NOKIA Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX as the multi-platinum recording artists performed "Beethoven's Last Night" in its entirety. It's a new form of live performance that the group calls "Rock Theater" (a hybrid of a rock concert and theater). Our 5th Year at Historic Bonnaroo
Called "One of 50 moments that changed the history of rock and roll" by Rolling Stone Magazine, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival welcomed our Trio trucks and production support teams for the 5th consecutive year. The festival included headliners Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Kings of Leon and Dave Mathew's Band along with a special appearance of TBS late night star Conan O'Brien. Trio Video Tango, along with support units Beta and Blues, transmitted entertainment content to YouTube-sponsored by the new Ford Fiesta, National Public Radio and Fuse TV. A Tale of Two (Comedy) Cities
HD mobile units, Phoenix (in Chicago) and Rhythm (in Toronto) had all the comedy bases covered as they supplied tech and production support to the ground-breaking TBS/Just for Laughs-Chicago and Just for Laughs -Toronto presented by WestJet comedy fests. With 3 shows in Chicago - Ellen DeGeneres Somewhat Special Special produced by ALD Productions, Cedric The Entertainer's Urban Circus produced by JFL Productions and Team Coco presents the Conan Comedy Writers produced by Grove Street Productions - plus two great shows in Toronto - The Chinese Comedy & Variety Show and The Ethnic Show: Ethnical Difficulties produced by Just For Laughs and Dome Productions Inc., Trio staffers definitely experienced the best of comedy in these two great cities.
