T53 BECOMES NEWEST ADDITION TO TRIO VIDEO FLEET - 03/31/00
The 53-foot "straight body," formerly operated as Metro Junior by Metro Mobile of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is the sixth mobile unit in Trio's present fleet.
"Even with plans for the development of our next expando unit on the drawing board, we found that we still needed to add another straight truck with a digital core switcher to service our present customer demands," says Debra Zouvas, Trio Video's General Manager.
T53 allows for a full walk-through from the 3-bench production room through the videotape section and into the transmission and video areas. A separate audio room houses the 40-input Yamaha PM-3500 stereo audio board. All communications are provided via the 12-channel RTS PL and 12-channel RTS IFB communications systems.
The unit's present camera complement includes 4 (four) Sony BVP-375 studio cameras with 1 (one) Fujinon 70x1 lens and 3 (three) Fujinon 55x1 lenses as well as 3 (three) Sony BVP-90 handheld cameras, all with Cannon 20x1 lenses. Additionally, 2 (two) full-up kits with Fujinon 55x1 lenses allow for the reconfiguration of two of the handhelds to full-up studio use.
The 64-input Grass Valley 3000 3-M/E switcher is matched with a two-card/four-channel Abekas DVEous digital video effects unit. Graphics equipment includes a fully-loaded Chyron Infinit! with 060 processor and a dual-channel Abekas A-42 Still Store system.
T53 rolls with a standard videotape complement of 5 (five) Sony BVW-75 BetaSP tape machines, each with a DNF slomo controller and 1 (one) Sony PVW-2800 BetaSP tape machine. Additionally, there is a "2-in/2-out" EVS LSM video disk recorder as well as 2 (two) stereo hi-fi VHS units onboard.
