TRIO VIDEO'S T48X SERVES AS "A" TRUCK
FOR ATLANTA WORLD SERIES GAMES - 10/27/95
Trio Video's expandable 48-foot truck, T48X, is serving as the ìaî truck for World Series games played in Atlanta. Earlier, the Baseball Network hired T48X to work American League Divisional Playoff games in Cleveland, and National League Championship Series games in Cincinnati.
The production and technical staffs of ABC and NBC requested that T48X serve as the "A" truck in Atlanta, said Gary Meagher, Trio Video partner.
The producers and directors sit in the production room of T48X, which is heavily interconnected with Unitel's Black Truck.
The producer for ABC is Curt Gowdy, Jr., and the director is Bill Webb. For NBC, John Gonzalez is the producer, with director Andy Rosinberg.
After the first two games in Atlanta, Meagher said, "I'm very pleased by the vote of confidence from the two networks." The game broadcasts went off without any major hitches, he said.
Meagher said the units supported 23 cameras, 16 of which were manned, 14 video tape machines, two Infinities and a dual channel DVE.
