TRIO VIDEO BUYS 20 SONY CHIP CAMERAS - 12/28/95
Since October, Trio Video, the largest mobile production company in the Midwest, has invested in 11 new Sony BVP 375 CCD hard cameras, and 9 new Sony BVP90-1 CCD hand-held cameras.
Now, all four Trio Video trucks--T48X, T48, T45, and T30--are equipped with chip cameras.
Trio also has purchased an Abekas A53D Dual Channel DVE with Warp, and the company's 45-foot unit, T45, also has a new Chyron Infinit! Graphics System.
The T30 also has a new Chyron Infinit! Graphics System and a Grass Valley 300 3 M/E 24-input Production Switcher with E_MEM and E-disk. The 30-foot truck also has a new monitor wall and redesigned production room.
In addition to corporate and entertainment assignments, Trio Video provides a major part of Chicago's professional sports broadcasting. Trio's T48X expando was built to handle Chicago Cubs' home game broadcasts, and the company also handles most home game feeds for the White Sox and Bulls for WGN and SportsChannel, as well as most away feeds. Through SportsChannel, Trio also provides Balckhawk away feeds.
Trio Video's T48X was the "A" Truck for The Baseball Network for the 1995 World Series games broadcast from Atlanta, as well as for Major League Baseball playoff games in Cleveland and Cincinnati.
The Chicago-based company is now in its 14th year.
