WINTER/SPRING 2008
Welcome back to Trio Video’s Fax Check. Even though the weather in the Midwest has been frigid, we’ve had plenty of hot projects to keep us warm and busy! With award-winning Cubs, Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks & Bears HD coverage for Comcast SportsNet Chicago, WGN, Fox Sports and others… plus the addition of a Big Ten Network multi-year agreement… and a full slate of music & comedy concerts and festivals, it’s been downright cozy despite the bad weather! Here are just some of the details...
It’s a Big Ten World. This past fall, Trio Video was very pleased to sign a multi-year deal to supply HD mobile units for Chicago-based Big Ten Network. BTN is a joint venture between subsidiaries of the Big Ten Conference and Fox Cable Networks. Programming includes football, men's & women’s basketball and other NCAA-sponsored sports with more than 400 live events, original programming, historic footage, classic games & coaches' shows; including up to 60 hours per year of original programming from each university. All of us at Trio are happy to be a part of the Big Ten family!
Vegoose Music Festival in Las Vegas… a Sure Bet. Trio Video continued its ongoing major involvement in the multiday/multistage music festival world, as we supplied HD mobile and tech support to the Vegoose Music Festival in Las Vegas (produced by Third Wave/AC Entertainment & Superfly Productions). This past year, Trio Video was proud to have provided mobile facilities and services for virtually every major North American music festival… and 2008 is looking just as exciting.
Trio will be kicking off its 2008 festival season in April by supplying HD equipment and crew for AEG/Goldenvoice’s Coachella Music Festival, as well as the Bonnaroo Music Festival (again produced by Third Wave/AC Entertainment & Superfly Productions).
A Comedy Laugh Riot. In October, Trio’s production team enjoyed a 3-day comedy weekend starting with Drew Hastings at Toledo’s famous Valentine Theatre (produced by Comedy Central/Musiclink/Denver) followed by Kathy Griffin at the Chicago Theatre and finally, John Reep at Park West Chicago (both produced by Bravo/Production Partners/LA). Trio Video supplied full truck and technical support for all three national broadcasts.
AT&T World’s Loudest Pep Rally Shouts “Go Army!” Trio Video was on hand this past November to again collaborate with Springboard Productions/AT&T Entertainment for their “loudest” project yet… the Dave Matthews Band at the “AT&T World’s Loudest Pep Rally” from West Point Military Academy in New York. Trio supplied mobile units, Tango & Beta, to capture the 2-day webcast/broadcast on AT&T Blueroom.com and Armed Forces Network. Thanks to AT&T and AFN, these critically acclaimed concerts were seen by our active soldiers worldwide.
Well...that’s it for now. With no time to hibernate, we’re off to our next round of exciting broadcast and webcast projects. As always, thanks for letting us keep you in The Loop.
